Bells, bells, bells…all around us both near and far. Some sounding new beginnings, while others bring time and space to a close. Bells that celebrate, bells that mourn. Bells used in ritual, and bells that adorn. Bells that sing out “someone is calling”, “someone is at the door” and “school is out, it’s time to go HOME.”
The many bells I’ve rung, worn and carried through life, hold memory deep while ever opening to the new. Here the Golden Boat podcast rings just a few of those bells. Let’s float along together for awhile and listen to their sweet song.
A MEDIUM BELL. Papa’s Bell that rang for decades at the end of the bannister in my childhood home.
The door to that HOME before I closed it forever behind me with Papa’s Bell in hand.
SMALL BELLS. Our Wedding Bells now resting by art from Nature, Ed Eberle and James Shipman.
And finally, THE BIG BELLS along with a chalk portrait of Big A as a student in the 1940’s. The artist unknown to us, though surely known by her.
The blessing of these bells carries on alongside adventures in the HERE and NOW and towards all those yet to BE.
